Helena is coming home to share her education and experience with us!  Her workshop will discuss foods that promote balance and stable moods, decrease brain fog, support behavioral changes, decrease anxiety and depression, and improve overall motivation.  By the end of the workshop you will know about:

  • Nutrition and dietary approaches – is there a perfect diet for me?
  • Gut health – how do my gut microbes influence my mood?
  • Behavioral changes – how do I actually make the right food choices?

Dr. Boersma currently lives in Rochester, New York, where she works as an integrative health and wellness counselor in private practice.  She is also the program director for the graduate school in clinical mental health counseling at Medaille College.  A graduate of Lathrop High School and University of  Alaska Fairbanks, she went on to earn graduate degrees at Golden State University, University of Nevada,  University of Rochester  and State University of New York. Her mother, Nina Megyesi, lives in Fairbanks and her brother, John Megyesi, lives in North Pole.  Check her out at helenaboersma.com.
